Dear Friends —
Thank you for your warmth and support so far as we seek to develop this fledgling work into something that can and will make a real positive difference.
It’s clear to me that inviting our more valuable citizens to come and talk to us, to share their work and understanding, to show and tell us things we might well need to know, to educate us, is a “brainer”.
We’re hooking up with one or more “non-profit sponsors” to facilitate donors to whom tax-considerations are meaningful. This is an enormously cost-efficient project….the return on “investment” is huge and most “profitable”, and the more help we receive the more we can do. Significant development is close at hand.
Will you consider contributing to what we have started? We identify superior human intelligence as a cornerstone of any new world we might create. It’s still in our hands and time is running.
My deepest thanks and an open invitation to your best input.
Ken

The great Lynn Margulis has passed. We had the special pleasure and privilege of talking with her twice….on 6/14/10 & 6/20/11.
Take off your shoes and turn off the phone and enjoy the company of this warm and brilliant biologist/evolutionist extraordinaire.
We were looking forward to another visit. Aah.

Welcome. Please contact us for any help…..hope you enjoy!
We recommend googling unfamiliar names, we recommend reclined and undistracted headphone listening.
The “What Now” show seeks collaborators and needs wise support to continue.
It’s been an extraordinary two years. There is great richness here, a first-rate education. Many of our finest teachers are here.

May you be fortunate to hear several recent interviews from some of our very finest teachers.
Phil Lane, Jr., Kathleen Dean Moore, Wes Jackson, Cormac Cullinan, David Abram…….Each and all especially worthy of our genuinely precious time and attention. Enormously strengthening/heartening to be able to draw close to the women and men among us who have done and do such valuable lifework for us all. Who carry such good news, of what is at our fingertips now and deepest in our heart. To be able to have the voices/the songs of beautiful human intelligence in our ears, calling out our own intelligence, linking it to the larger web of infinite intelligences and the intelligence of it All. To make our “problems” intelligible and to dissolve them in solution.
All our guests are teachers, and all the rest of us as well…..

The way to listen to these “long-form” interviews is under the headphones, in the dark, lying down, eyes closed, no distractions. We draw close. We tune in to the warm expression of human care and intelligence and hard work. We get to hear the voices (the ordinary humanity) of these “accomplished” people. We are they, they are us, never not been so.
My experience with Cormac Cullinan two days ago has stunned me. I’m posting this today for the sole purpose of inviting you to listen to him closely. ”Wild Law” indeed. This is a song of awakening from a deep inverted sleep to an Earth alive, (our very source), still willing to love us, feed us, nurture us, heal us, comfort us, delight us, inspire us, thrill us, sing to us, deeply and fully, if only we would allow her to. Our Beloved Mother. Our Sacred Universe. Our Sacred Beingness. Everyone in the tent. All together now. Prior unity. Never not so.
“What Now” has been honored with recognition from the Club of Budapest for the sympatico nature of our work. We bow with thanks. See “Worldshift Radio” and all the rest at Worldshift.

Brothers & Sisters –
As our denouement transpires we are revealed; unmasked. Made nervous by the Divine Judgment we have been warned about (threatened by?), aware down deep of the mountain of guilt and shame we pretend not to be bearing, we tremble before the Lord, awaiting execution. (Or might suicide pay the bill, bring expiation?)
Or is there something we’re not yet seeing fully?
What if God really Loves us, really really really; ready to forgive. What if our resolution here (our destiny) is sublime? What if the revelation here is sublime? What if ”heaven” is our admission of sin, and our genuine remorse and repentence? What if we need only (grudgingly?) accept the ecstasy of embodied existence in a manifest sentient Cosmos (awake!)? What if we don’t have to die to get to “heaven”? (“We, not “Me”). It’s “knock and ye shall enter, isn’t it? Knock Knock, Who’s There (Who’s Here)?
Boy/Girl, we sure don’t want to lose face, do we? But that’s the ticket price, boy/girl.
Jesus, Ken, what the hell are you talking about?
Well, actually, it’s this goddam radio show, which fell out of the sky a few short months ago, and is developing beyond anything I could have imagined. (Just listen to last week’s show!).
Intended as a collaboration, we await additional collaborators. The show is becoming ever more Global. The listenership is multiplying, and the guestlist seems more and more like some sort of “Who’s Who on Planet Earth”. And we’ve hardly begun, because there are tens of thousands of “interviews” stacked up and harvest-ready. That’s how wealthy/blessed/loved we are. This show, like others and many more to come, is a Living School!
Are we above going back to school, doing a little post-graduate work, or some remedial studies?
I’m imagining offering something like a “First Circle of Friends”, a formal association with the show, supportive, open to more intimate communications, more interactivity, nourishing what is nourishing us.
Any thoughts?
(Sorry for the “religious” talk……)
We’re so almost there.

Dear Friends —
We’re celebrating 18 months of the What Now interviews. Although the blog goes ignored and the donate button has cobwebs, the sessions are being listened to by thousands, even in a couple of dozen countries around the world. Me very happy about that.
I’m as astonished as anyone. This last show (February 21st) felt like our finest yet. Three deeply satisfying guests with rich, warm, stimulating, informative, even wise, even important, presentations. May I recommend them to you?
I’m fascinated at the prospect of transcribing many of our sessions. A listener was so moved by the Thomas Linzey interview that she took it upon herself to transcribe it and we’ve posted it for reading online or for printing out. Although they’re the same words the aural presentation (it’s so important for us to hear human voices) and the written one arrive through different passageways, with different effect. We’re hoping to post the new David Orr interview as a transcript within days…….I think it’s top-notch.
Our show, our modality, shows great promise, and as the months roll by we’re going to need some sustenance. We’re in this together, so you who are more financially “comfortable” might consider lending a hand, especially while your funds still have any value at all. Together we can do great things. Of that I am certain, and a little goes a long way. Lucky us.
My thanks and deep gratitude for our guests and our listeners. How terrific!

Merry Christmas to each one, and all of us together…
From the wilderness (“a bewildering and threatening vastness”) of Madness, may we find our way home. This much pain and fear is unhealthy, and points to some fundamental error we are perpetuating. When we step away from the madness we find an indescribably beautiful world, and when we engage the conundrum of our crippling dysfunction we gasp and sob at the terrible, terrible waste of the gift, at our catastrophic loss….and then we roll up our sleeves.
I have had some success living without television and radio. I monitor the human adventure through the New York Times, Common Dreams and Truthout, and infrequently a handful of other websites. I don’t feel that I’m missing anything. I read books for the show, I do the Sudoku and read the comics, and keep an eye on sports. I’ve never owned a c.d. player or a cellphone. I think we’re analog beings (flesh and blood), and being digitalized has turned us toward being robots.
The “What Now” show is 16 months old, and lately the website traffic has been mushrooming. It’s satisfying because I know how good these “interviews” are, how rich. You invite good people to a party you’re going to have a good party. And “interview” is only a cover anyway. It’s just making connections, opening taps, getting a little flow, mixing it up, bringing blood to the wounds, and oxygen.
Quite a few of these interviews will read beautifully on the printed page, and we look forward to the arrival of collaborators to make that happen and to help take this simple work to a higher level.
We’ve turned toward the sun again, and Springtime. Way to go, Earthy old girl. May we bring to an end, with alarm, our desecrations. May we see all there is to see with that old inner eye, the eye of conscience, the eye of intelligence, the eye of great love and understanding. Awakening in hell perhaps, but at least awakening.
Gotta start somewhere.

Well, here we all are, together (at last) at the defining crossroads of human existence. Thumbs up? Or thumbs down? I sincerely hope your vote (your life) is UP, because that’s what will carry the day. Our beloved family so deeply self-wounded, our beloved Earth so martyred at our wounded hands.
Here we are, and look what’s on our plate! The most passionate challenge to our very worthiness/integrity/viability. The whole thing turns on a dime the moment we snap out of our ignorant trance.
It says here we can be redeemed, saved and delivered by accepting our own reality, and the reality of reality, our dearest lover and friend. You catch the drift?
We had the pleasure and privilege to have Michael Ruppert and Suzie Gruber in the studio 72 hours ago for what became a 2.5 hour radio session. Part 2 is a good place to begin because it hits the ground running.
Looking forward to Carolyn Baker, Paul von Hartmann, and Charles Eisenstein this coming show.
Our thanks for your encouraging support and advice.

As one who considers baseball to be a particularly exquisite form of divinity, it is important to me that the lordly Yankees lose pennants and World Series’ more often than not. I give the Yankees a lot of credit for genuine excellence in lordly maintenence, but “a level playing field” is all we ask for and/or demand in every area of human life. We’re all much better off if success is earned fair and square rather than purchased, as if it can be. Ultimately we must be willing to understand full well that our lives are not for sale, nor is our dignity, nor is the sacredness of life and the Earth.
And more, it’s nothing less than a requirement for our physical health, our mental health, and our happiness. So here’s to level playing fields everywhere.
The “What Now” show was grateful for having been invited to the Bioneers Coinference last week in San Rafael on a press pass. So I’ll report to you that essentially our problems are over as soon as we “get it”. And we’re “getting it” more and more, faster and faster, better and better. And we’d better snap it up now and get this “getting it” done, directly and with great courage and fortitude, all of us. We’re up shit creek and it’s paddle through the stench to cleaner waters for the likes of us humans who actually like or even love the human prospect. We are so close to tipping into mental health. We are re-membering our membership. The Earth loves us most dearly. Will we not have the simple grace and decency to surrender to Her? When all is lost?
